The costs of operating the air ambulance are currently in the region of £110, 000 per month. The service operates between 08:00-18:00 hrs and is called out on average 3-5 times each day.
South Shires Bikers MCC 2012 24hr John o'Groats to Lands End charity ride
South Shires Bikers Motor Cycle Club (SSBMCC) aim to raise much needed cash for the day to day running of the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance (in case we need it one day )
The service which is receives no government funding is called out on average 3-5 times a day. Their operating costs are currently £110, 000 per month. They make no doorstep collections and rely on the efforts of local fundraisers.
Last year Phil and I took part in a 24 hr 1000 mile motorcycle ride to raise money for this superb charity. This year, joined by Steph, we aim to do the John 0'Groats to Lands End ride in the same time period. The distance is a little shorter, but the roads are more challenging.
Please help us support the valuable work carried out by Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.
Thank you. Club President.
